Our Pastor, The Rev. Rob McCall

Welcome to the
First Congregational Church
of Blue Hill!

As you browse through our web site, you’ll find here a true community church with varying political, social and theological views and religious traditions from all over the Blue Hill peninsula, and beyond. Being a Congregational church, for 234 years (founded in 1772), our membership has the last word in all matters of faith and practice. Our worship service and Sunday school [10:00 a.m.] are lively and well-attended [currently about 110 for worship, but we always welcome more]. I’m told that the music and preaching are good. We are always Bible-based while allowing for broad interpretations of scripture. We are active in the UCC on all levels. We host adult study groups, concerts, an Earthcare Team, hikes up the mountain, church suppers, meditations, a strong local and global Outreach program, mission trips to Belize, seniors, home-schoolers, the Bagaduce Chorale, the Blue Hill Concert Association, and many other activities.

In short, I have seen a lot of churches in my life, but precious few as vigorous and exciting as this one [though I am biased]. Call me anytime for any reason at 207-374-2892, and come to church so we can get to know each other. I do believe that you will find yourself in the presence of the Spirit here.
